Wikipedia will always be a good resource for BASIC information.
I would check out Courtneytuttle.com .... that site puts SEO into action and they are doing some case studies to show how they use SEO to make money.

Yep those are some good ones. I don't know what system you are all using, but for wordpress users, get the SEO plugin. I can't remember the name of it - if anyone remember a link would be nice.

I would be a little sceptical about searchengineland. A site about SEO should really have learned to use other roll-over-image-replacements than javascript solution.
