Default Font Management on Mac

I know most people use Toast to manage fonts but i was just curious how you guys use Toast. Do you organize your fonts into different groups and only activate certain groups at a time? or do you activate all you fonts all the time?

I wasn't sure if activating all your fonts on a Mac at the same time was bad or not, I know on my PC I just basically had all my fonts in a fonts folder on my hard drive and they would all show up in the programs.

Any suggestions/tips would be great.

I know suitcase is a popular choice, which is also available in PC format to save loading all the fonts at once.

Works on the same principle of creating sets and activating them when needed

I'd kill for a way to categorize fonts, not just inside one program but in the CS3-programs, my font-list is growing way too long :P

Yeah some one mentioned font explorer as well so I'm gonna check that and suitcase out. Thanks, Yeah my font list is crazy long I'd like to organize my fonts into categories such as traditional fonts, display fonts, text fonts, web fonts etc.
